Accell Group employs approximately 3000 people across 15 countries. Accell Group’s bikes and related products are sold to dealers and consumers in more than 80 countries. In 2022, the company sold around 845 thousand bicycles and recorded a turnover of € 1.4 billion.

Develop efficient HR function that excels in supporting the business
Accell Group in Southeast Europe covers sales, marketing, service, production, warehouse, logistics and IT – a total of app. 225 employees in France, Italy, Spain and Poland and a multimillion Euros revenue. You lead a team consisting of 1 HRBP and 2 HR Generalists respectively responsible for supporting Spain, France and Italy. Accell Group has grown by a number of acquisitions and thus HR processes, systems and services differs greatly from location to location. The company is on a journey to completely redesign HR to develop a best in class highly efficient HR function capable of providing extraordinary service and support for the entire organization. Your and the teams daily tasks and responsibilities counts to:

  • Cooperate with works councils and unions
  • Streamline, harmonize and centralize the entire Southeast Europe HR function in close cooperation with the rest of the HR organization to establish highly efficient HR processes and support
  • Develop the culture in HR into a truly supportive and service oriented mindset
  • Lead and develop the Southeast Europe HR team to enhance the skills and capabilities for the team members and to define clear roles and responsibilities
  • Participate in the implementation of Workday
  • Participate in several HR development projects like establishing job leveling framework, establishment of HR standards and templates, Talent Management etc. You and your team will specifically be lead on developing Talent Engagement in the Group

Your team is based at the offices in Annecy, France and San Sebastian, Spain and you can be based at either of these offices. You will travel 1-2 times per month to the locations in the sub-region and there will be occasional travel to other Accell sites in Europe (1-2 times per year) plus travel to the global HQ in The Netherlands. You report to the HR Operations Director based in Amsterdam.
Experienced HR leadership profile
You have worked in an HR leadership role for a number of years and leading and developing a team with a wide variety of HR responsibilities like organizational and leadership development, talent management, comp & ben, development and implementation of HR policies and processes, cooperation with works councils and unions and related. You have obtained this experience in an international company with high standards of HR. You have experience with operational HR in at least two of the countries in the region.

Candidates who speak two of the languages in the region in addition to English (Spanish, Italian or French) will be preferred.

Further we are looking you who:

  • Are comfortable to speak your mind, challenge beliefs of stakeholders on all levels and implement the necessary initiatives to embrace true change
  • Has a strong track record of effective change management with the capability to bring all stakeholders – internal and external – along on the change journey required at Accell Group
  • Are fluent in English – French, Spanish and / or Italian is an advantage
  • Have proven successful experience in working in an international setting
