Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?

  • You will lead an organization of +90 employees, responsible for packaging finished goods to a global market at the right quality, on time and at a competitive cost. You are responsible for optimizing and developing the area to meet future requirements from authorities and new product introductions.
  • The role also entails cross functional responsibility for implementing and developing our new Manufacturing Executing System and IT/OT road map, across Lundbeck’s four manufacturing sites in Denmark, France and Italy. You will play an important part in defining how we can harvest digital opportunities to drive business outcomes.
  • You will become part of a skilled management team in the area Pharmaceutical Production & Supply Chain. An organization of +500 employees responsible for two pharmaceutical production sites in Denmark and France, and Lundbeck’s global supply chain management activities.

Your future team

  • The area Finished Goods Production has 5 fully automated packaging lines with serialization and aggregation. We work with some of the newest technology within the industry and manage a product portfolio with a large variation of finished goods. The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
  • The Finished Goods Production management team includes four Production Managers, each leading their own production group, one Technical Production Manager leading the technician team, two Directors leading the support teams, and a management assistant.
  • The team uses each other actively to improve their leadership skills and there is a high level of trust in the group. Social activities within the group are prioritized and valued.
  • You will spend time on shopfloor on a daily basis to support decisions and problem solving, and you are expected to set the direction for how to apply Operational Excellence to constantly strive for improved productivity.
  • Finished Goods Production is running in 3 shifts during the week and to some extent production during weekends. Most of the workforce works in steady shifts. Due to the nature of the value chain, you will collaborate with many stakeholders across Lundbeck. The production runs at a high pace and many costumers rely on our ability to deliver.
  • You will be responsible for the budget planning and execution related to operational expenses and investment portfolio.

What you bring to the team

  • M.Sc. degree in business, engineering, pharmacist, or natural sciences
  • +10 years of experience within management, including leading through leaders.
  • Several years of experience from a highly regulated industry, preferrable within production, understanding the complexity of GxP
  • A solid analytical mindset and you have demonstrated significant results driving Operational Excellence in an organization.
  • The organization is diverse. You have a natural way of meeting people exactly where they are and are motivated by developing people.
  • Great interpersonal- and communication skills, well-organized, consistent, and goal oriented.
  • Possessing personal motivation, maintaining a constructive attitude, and willingly confronting difficulties during adversity.
  • Reading and speaking Danish and English is a prerequisite.
