The Position
Join our dynamic HR legal team and become an essential pillar in supporting our business with expertise in employment contracts, employment law and HR compliance. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining our HR legal frameworks while providing invaluable guidance to our HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to delve into a diverse range of employment law matters and contribute to the enhancement of our HR processes. From overseeing the entire employment contract lifecycle including assisting with inquiries on employment-related issues to ensuring HR compliance and efficiency, you will be at the forefront of regulatory adherence.

As a member of COP's People & Communications team, you will be part of a collaborative group of HR professionals dedicated to fostering sustainable HR practices and driving impactful People decisions across our global footprint. Reporting to the People Legal & Compliance Manager, you'll join forces with an enthusiastic global team, where your expertise will make a tangible difference.

This role is on a temporary contract until 31st of December 2025, at which point there may be an opportunity to join the team for a longer term.

You will support initiatives including:

  • Preparation, amendment, and management of employment contracts.
  • Offering comprehensive guidance and advice on a wide array of employment-related inquiries across our global locations.
  • Conducting thorough reviews and audits to guarantee alignment with evolving legal requirements, industry best practices and HR compliance standards.
  • Providing strategic support in the resolution of complex employment issues, including disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Implementing innovative solutions to streamline HR processes and enhance operational efficiency.

To succeed in this role, you:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Law or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Have experience within employment law, operational HR, and HR compliance.
  • Have a global mind-set with an ability to communicate clearly and responsive to local and remote sparring, input, and requests.
  • Have perseverance and an ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Are a team player and thrive in an empowered environment.
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
