Key responsibilities
As the new Global Head of Technology Procurement, you will lead a global team (+40) and lead the implementation of our new strategic direction and deliver on the business-critical transformation of our Technology Procurement function, merging four teams into one Technology Procurement function.

Our new Technology Procurement function sits in Indirect Procurement, where you will join the management team, and drive technology category management and strategy end to end, with full responsibility and accountability for negotiations, tenders, extensions, and amendments for all technology contracts in Maersk, hereunder SRM. It is a key and transformational leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic sourcing activities related to our technology and IT services, a significant spend.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end responsibility for the Technology procurement categories from sourcing to contract implementation, supplier relationship management and continuously ensuring the acquisition of technology aligns with overall business objectives, while managing costs and delivering on our savings targets
• Lead the end-to-end transformation integrating four teams into one Technology procurement function, set and develop structure, ways of working, procedures and category strategies that enable us to deliver on our technology roadmap
• Establish a strong partnership and collaboration with the Technology organization
• Ensure that best practices become the norm and lead a process of continuous improvement for enhancing reliability, productivity, reducing costs, and maximizing the capability of the teams

Who are we looking for

• You are a seasoned leader with extensive technology procurement experience
• You have a proven track record of successful contract negotiations and cost savings and in-depth knowledge of technology markets, trends, supplier landscapes, regulations, and standards.
• You are not afraid of taking challenges head on and you work collaboratively with your peers to find solutions to remove roadblocks and optimize ways of working (in other words, you can drive a transformation)
• You know what real SRM means – not on PowerPoint or as a transcript from ChatGPT – but in a value driven mutual relationship – also/especially when the going gets tough
• Direct feedback from stakeholders drives you to improve your Functions’ output – not being defensive – but being constructive and making sure your Teams – and you – own and solve the problems
• Through your strong interpersonal skills and experiences, you find it easy to build relationships on all levels, both internally and externally
• You enjoy delivering in a fast-paced environment where reporting lines are fluid, ambiguity exists, and the accountability is real and forever present
• You know how to put the end customer (our business) at the center and you lead the way
• Above all, you thrive on delivering through others – the technology procurement teams consist of a caring, competent, passionate and fun crowd of People
