Digital Solutions are responsible for improving IT efficiency, integrate digital solutions further into its customer offering, improve employees' digital experience and support core processes across the value chain. Digital Engineering & Product Lifecycle, part of Digital Solutions, is accountable for digital solutions within the area of Engineering, Industry 4.0, and Product Lifecycle Management - from management of master data to utilization of extended reality, simulation and configuration tools, and Industrial IoT.

Digital Solutions & Development > Digital Solutions > Architecture & Design
You will join the Architecture & Design chapter, where you will be the Product Architect for the Connected Devices & IIoT product. Working closely with the Product Team you will be responsible for the product architecture, and guide implementation of the technological vision for the product.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain the overall architecture of the Connected Devices & IIoT product
  • Recommend and select appropriate technology to match the requirements of the users and the enterprises principles and guardrails
  • Work closely with Product Owner to understand the product vision and users' requirements, and influence solution architecture and technical specifications towards development
  • Conducting code reviews as required to ensure high-quality software development
  • Developing comprehensive documentation, including solution design documents, test cases, and release notes while utilizing ticket management tools and processes to effectively track issues and our system landscape
  • Leveraging Azure DevOps for efficient task tracking and management
  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise and Domain Architects, ensuring architecture documentation and decisions

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree within Engineering, IT or relevant education, combined with 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in architecting solutions within complex environments, defining and implementing various types of IoT analytics
  • Experience with real-time streaming services for immediate data processing and analysis
  • Familiarity with REST, OData, and API usage for seamless data exchange
  • Experience in integrating ThingWorx services with both SQL and time-series databases as well as releasing ThingWorx code to ensure smooth deployment
  • Experience with Azure Data Engineering and agile and SCRUM is advantageous
  • Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization

  • Know how to apply design, testing methods and tools
  • Have the overview of the complete ecosystem and integrate applications with existing landscape
  • Have the ability to analyze and close gaps between current and future- state architecture
  • Strong coordination and interpersonal skills, with a cooperative mindset, experience working with diverse and multicultural teams is beneficial
  • Ability to take ownership and deliver tasks efficiently
  • Self-motivated to stay updated with the latest developments in PTC solutions
  • Curiosity to explore beyond PTC software suite and discover innovative solutions in the realm of IIoT
