Consumer & Marketing Technology (CMT) inspires and builds the developers and designers of tomorrow through innovative, integrated, digital play and brand experiences, from DUPLO to Grown Ups! We strive to create frictionless onboarding into the LEGO Group digital ecosystem, becoming the glue that keeps it together to provide users with more touchpoints and personalized experiences.

CMT builds and operates digital products for consumers (Kids and Grown-Ups) and for Creators inside the LEGO Group. For consumers, we impact the entire consumer journey, from converting a consumer's first-time building experience to a long-lasting relationship with the LEGO brand. The product teams in CMCT design and develop a digital ecosystem for consumers consisting of digital touchpoints for kids (LEGO Life, Builder App, LEGO.com/kids, Games) and grown-ups (LEGO Ideas, Bricklink) as well as the underlying account system and consumer engagement services (Moderation, Tracking). For Creators, CMT develops the creative tools for our model designers, the asset pipelines for our digital experiences and the systems that support our entire product portfolio.

We bring modern technologies to the LEGO Group to help serve marketing and revolutionise how we engage positively with our audiences through Planning, Activation and Execution of marketing campaigns. Our new membership programme, LEGO Insiders which is experienced on LEGO.com and serving our LEGO stores globally. Finally, platforms that deliver capabilities for our award-winning customer service representatives to support our customers.

This role is responsible for driving transparency to delivery roadmaps for our most complex digital product areas including risks and technical dependencies between engineering clusters and user groups in collaboration with the Technical Program Managers. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of CMT with various cross department tasks like workforce plans, transparency to total cost of ownership (TCO) of products and budgets together with our Finance Business Partner. As a member of CMT LT you are expected to play an active role in leading the overall CMT organization, fostering a collaborative, high performance mentality.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of value via our biggest and most complex technical programs (multiple in-flight simultaneously) by acting as ‘driver and enabler’ for critical initiatives, both through their own involvement as well as leadership of other TPMs and Tech Ops Specialists within CMT
  • Strategically enables the Consumer, Marketing and Innovation Enablement areas, alongside senior Engineering leaders in driving the digital product portfolio execution across multiyear horizons and supporting strategic process where linked with digital product portfolio
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a combination of firmness and empathy. This role collaborates with, challenges and supports the SVP, Heads of Engineering Delivery, Heads of Product and collaborators outside of Digital Technology in managing portfolio level objectives and budget frames (portfolio management), actively participating in strategic dialogues for the area
  • High involvement in portfolio and strategic conversations, driving increased flow of value across both CMT and the wider Digital Technology organization
  • Where needed, oversea important details to effectively support Program Managers in their delivery and support to resolve issues
  • Accountability for ongoing operational considerations within user groups and domain cluster, anchoring Tech Ops Specialists for TCO and value framework
  • Positively influences the TPM and Tech Ops practice in CMT, and wider DT community through coaching and/or mentoring of both team and colleagues
  • Reporting directly into the Senior Vice President, this person plays a key role in the CMT leadership team, actively driving collaboration and flow across the engineering clusters
  • People leadership responsibility for Tech Program Managers (associate to senior) and Tech Ops Specialists, including coaching and development, whilst facilitating and advocating for a continuous learning approach
  • Motivate the team and the whole CMT organization to drive a diverse and collaborative culture (alongside the SVP and members of the CMT LT), whilst acting as a role model for the Leadership Playground

Do you have what it takes?

  • Broad knowledge combining Tech, Business and People skills, with an ability to adapt and a keenness to learn new things at pace
  • Solid, hands-on experience with agile delivery models, ideally with more than one framework, e.g. the OKR framework, as well as an understanding of traditional program management delivery models
  • Knowledge of agile, engineering and programme culture approach – with specific focus on the intersect of all three and the balance of approach to ensure continuity between them
  • Exemplary communication skills, with deep experience dealing with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of application lifecycle management, software development methodologies, modern software architecture and engineering practices
  • Solid understanding, and experience, of product management practices, financial management and budgeting
  • Procurement and contract negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership skills with experiencing in developing capability, coaching both through formal and informal leadership

Fluency in English language required
