Legal Counsel: General Business - Manager

The role
We are recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel, Channel Lawyer to join our Global Legal Team and be responsible for providing legal and compliance support to our Nordic operations.

Mission:
You will be responsible for delivery of legal, regulatory and compliance services. You will operate as a key business partner to provide strategic support and advice, working on a wide range of commercial and compliance matters.
Location:
This role supports a flexible hybrid model with some working from home options available. You should expect regular travel within the Nordic zone and occasional travel to other locations in Europe as business need is determined. Travel may include some overnight stays.
What will you do?

• Preparing, reviewing and supporting negotiations of a number of contracts including industry standard construction type contracts and contracts and Distribution and Channel terms and conditions
• Providing Distribution and Channel antitrust and competition regulatory advice
• Reviewing and advising the business on commercial terms and deal structures in relation to Channel agreements and being able to identify red flags.
• Proactively identify, define, and mitigate risks by contributing to and implementing policies and procedures
• Helping to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Group policies
• Providing training and facilitating our compliance programs
• Other local legal support as reasonably required by Legal Management

What will help you to be successful?

• A fully qualified lawyerwith a Master/Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent and at least 5 years' relevant PQE in commercial law
• Fluent in English (written and verbal) with great technological skills
• Worked in an international company and has a proven track record operating in an inhouse environment
• Work proactively and closely with the business stakeholders, to identify and analyse critical commercail and legal issues
• Apply legal expertise to deliver solutions
• Confident with fantastic interpersonal skills, commercially minded, highly organized and able to work effectively in teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently and manage large volumes of work
