Warehouse Team Leader - Vejle Export Terminal

Location: Vejle, DK

Vejle Export Terminal receive, store, pack, and dispatch approximately 350.000 pallets of products in over 100 countries. You will play an active role in motivating your team and continuously improving processes and work methods.

How you will make an impact
In close collaboration with the Warehouse Manager, you will lead a team of 22 skilled employees directly under your supervision. You are expected to develop employees’ skills so that we always have the right resource available to meet present and future demands. You will have a critical role in ensuring the following:

• Smooth daily operations with a focus on safety and continuous improvements.
• Raise the overall performance level by fostering collaboration and a holistic approach.
• Contribute to future projects such as optimization and capacity management.
• Prepare work plans, register and approve wages.
• Recruitment and employee interviews.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our other functions such as QEHS, Logistics, and Maintenance. It is expected that you will be a visible Team Leader who is both approachable and accessible in the Terminal. Your working hours will typically be weekdays from 10:00-18:00. You will be responsible for the evening and night shift. Meetings outside normal working hours may occur.

What will make you successful
We imagine that you have prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain with a strong understanding of processes. You could come from a similar position where a safe work environment, leadership and optimization were essential keywords. You should be able to systemize and structure your work while remaining flexible to adjust priorities when tasks require it. Additionally, we expect you to have:

• A coaching leadership style where you focus on mutual respect and good working conditions.
• Experience with ERP systems preferrable SAP EWM and good Excel skills.
• Experience with LEAN is an advantage.
• Have a flexible approach to working hours.
• Proficient in written and spoken Danish and English.

As a person you are outgoing, curious and you dare to challenge the way we do things. You will have a great deal of personnel responsibility and have many contacts both internally and externally, and it is therefore important that you have good collaboration and communications skills.
