Business Analyst for Oticon Medical
Are you looking for a company working with the latest technologies and tools and one that at the same time, continuously growing in size and revenue? Then we might have an exciting position for you as a software developer in Oticon Medical’s R&D team. Oticon Medical is committed to improving the quality of life of profoundly deaf patients. For that, we develop implantable medical devices and surgical techniques to restore profound hearing loss. Here you will become part of a team of dedicated and highly skilled employees.

Our product – Fitting solutions for hearing implants
As a Business Analyst, you will join a pan-European team, with development units in France, Denmark and Poland. You will be part of our Software R&D department in Smørum, Denmark. Our products, Genie Medical BAHS (Bone Anchored Hearing Solutions) and Genie Medical CI (Cochlear Implant Solutions), are developed for our customers, primarily hearing care professionals, who use it to individually adapt our sound processors and connectivity products to the people who face hardest hearing challenges.

You will be a part of Fitting Solutions group. In this position, you will focus on development of Genie Medical CI. The fitting solution development process includes tasks that range from requirements writing to implementation and test. You can look forward to a challenging position with following responsibilities:

  • Develop understanding of market needs within team by applying your in-depth knowledge and knowhow of the fitting process.
  • Define new concepts and support facilitating meetings and workshops with Product Managers, Clinical Engineering, Product Owner, System Engineers, UX designers and feature teams.
  • Documentation and validation of concepts in new development and maintenance of fitting solutions including flowcharts and mock-ups.
  • Requirement engineering including elicitation and maintaining traceability to system requirements.
  • Participate in usability testing.
  • Develop within agile philosophy and Scrum methodology.
  • Learn and share best practices within a curious and motivated team.

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent degree in audiology with 3-5 years of experience working with fitting software for cochlear implant solutions, preferably different manufacturers.
  • Good stakeholder management skill with ability to take or influence decisions.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong focus on quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.


  • Experience in writing software requirements.
  • Experience of working in distributed teams.
