The Microsoft Dynamics NAV Team, located at the Microsoft Development Center Copenhagen in Denmark, is looking for a strong software architect to shape the technical direction of the Dynamics NAV test team as we grow our business to become the next billion dollar business at Microsoft. This is an opportunity to be hands-on technically and make a huge impact on the quality of Microsoft’s ERP products.

With its metadata driven design and abstraction layers, the Dynamics NAV product provides a unique opportunity to apply techniques such as test generation and modeling to validate the product in creative and innovative ways. We are eager to apply and create the cutting edge testing techniques that will take the test discipline to the next level. Our customers and partners also need to validate their ERP implementations on NAV, so this is a great opportunity to not only to ship our tests externally, but also impact the quality of our customer and partner ecosystem. We embrace Agile development practices such as SCRUM and are always looking for new and more effective ways of building high quality software.

Responsibilities:
- Drive the architecture and direction of “test system” (test frameworks, testability in the product, test execution and analysis systems).
- Implement global changes to improve the quality of the product and the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering systems.
- Drive overall engineer guidelines for SDETs.
- Mentor SDET’s on the team in technical skills and engineering practices.
- Gain awareness in the development and tests community as it relates to improving code quality.
- Seek out testing technologies and methods and pilot them on the team.
- Measure and report on results of improvements to the team.
- Provide overall technical leadership and strategy for the SDET organization.
- Contribute to the broader test development community inside and outside of Microsoft through conferences and seminars.
- Work with Microsoft test leadership to drive integration and adoption of best practices.
- Work closely with customers and partners to understand their testing needs.

Qualifications include:
- Track record for bringing innovation and technical leadership to an organization.
- Strong design, OO programming and database system experience.
- Strong knowledge of C#, .NET, SQL and XML.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and cross-group collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to understand the big picture and effectively evangelize initiatives across the group.
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience developing or testing commercial software.
- Strong passion for software quality.
- ERP experience is a plus.
