Course in User Experience & Prototyping
The MSc programme in Games seeks an English-speaking lecturer who can plan and teach the 3rd semester course ‘User Experience & Prototyping’.
User Experience & Prototyping is a project-based course, where students will work with different user experience and prototyping methods to qualify the design choices of a game production. Students learn and examine state-of-the-art of design methods related to prototyping, user experience and interaction design in a game development context.
Students will be introduced to and work with iterative prototyping processes and use prototypes to develop an understanding of player experience. Some of the prototyping methods explored are paper and other forms of physical prototyping techniques, video documentation, and digital prototyping including aesthetic, gameplay, and technological aspects.
Teaching this course requires solid knowledge in user experience (UX), interaction design (IxD), player experience (PX), participatory design (PD), and prototyping methods in the context of players and game design.
The applicant must document professional and/or research experience within the area and have experience with academic teaching at university level. Moreover, the applicant must document required language skills in oral and written English.

Application and salary
Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Finance’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The position includes teaching and examination after each semester.
The applicant will be assessed according to the Appointment Order from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of 25 April 2008.
In the Fall semester 2017 there will be organized 10-14 seminars times with 2 hours lectures and 2 hours exercises on all courses.
In connection with employment as Part-time lecturer, the employee must be prepared to participate in faculty meetings, Introduction to teaching at ITU seminar and Exams seminar.
As a newly employed external lecturer, you will be asked to participate in an Introduction to Teaching Day and an Exam Seminar and ongoing faculty meetings
