Senior Urban Designer. Project Manager

At this moment, we are looking to fill the position of Senior Urban Designer (Project Manager) in our Barcelona office.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience within large scale urban/master planning projects and design, with management/leading experience (+10 years of experience).
• Middle eastern masterplan experience.
• Experience in design-lead and project-management roles.
• Excellent communication skills, with English language speaking, writing and presentation skills generation being a must.
• Strong client management and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working.
• Experience with management and coordination of project stakeholders, local authorities, and approving bodies and sub-consultants.
• Ability to take initiative in response to direction from directors and partners.

Your main responsibility will be (not limited to):

• Defending BIG’s design intent throughout all phases.
• Team and project coordination.
• Reporting to the Partner-in-Charge.
• Communication with Client & Consultant team.
• Production of contract documents.
• Management and mentorship of team members.
• Providing technical guidance and innovative solutions to help resolve complex technical and design challenges.
